Please join us for a special free concert on July 30, 2025, at the Scottish Rite Hall as we celebrate the conferral of the Order of the Rising Sun with Gold Rays, upon The Honorable Henry G. Cisneros by the Government of Japan. 

The evening will feature performances highlighting the friendship between Japan and the United States, with works from both Japanese and American composers performed by the San Antonio Philharmonic.

Doors at 4:30pm | Concert at 5:30pm | Reception to follow in the Scottish Rite Ballroom with light bites and bar by Chef Johnny Hernandez

A new 5-7-minute duo for vibraphone and marimba that's active, kaleidoscopic, and quick-changing—a whirlwind exploration of the colors, textures, and counterpoint that fly out of this rich pair of instruments.

The commissioning consortium was organized by Zach Gutierrez and Jacob Gutierrez.
