A new 5-7-minute duo for vibraphone and marimba that's active, kaleidoscopic, and quick-changing—a whirlwind exploration of the colors, textures, and counterpoint that fly out of this rich pair of instruments.

The commissioning consortium was organized by Zach Gutierrez and Jacob Gutierrez.

The 2025 Mix-MATCH lineup boasts an impressive array of visual artists, dancers, musicians, actors, and filmmakers, reflecting the vibrant tapestry of Houston's cultural landscape. 

"We are incredibly excited to unveil this extraordinary lineup of talent for the 2025 Mix-MATCH Festival," said Brian Walker, MATCH Director of Production and this year’s festival coordinator. "This year's event promises to be even more dynamic and engaging, offering audiences an unparalleled opportunity to experience the diverse and vibrant arts scene here in Houston."

The festival will take place at the Midtown Arts & Theater Center Houston (MATCH) on Saturday, January 18, 2025. Audiences can look forward to performances across all four MATCH theaters and gallery, as well as food trucks and a variety of other activities throughout the day. The festivities will culminate with the MATCH Mixer, providing attendees with the chance to mingle with the artists and fellow art enthusiasts.

Tickets and a detailed schedule of events will be available on the MATCH website as the festival draws closer.
